Party on the Rec - May 2024

We setup with sunshine and kicked off with the first performance in sun, had a splash of rain and then dry for the rest of the day. 

Thanks to everyone who came out and joined us for the day and stuck around during the wet bit!!

We also had the launch for the 100-year anniversary of the Memorial Hall, with many of the village clubs and groups presenting in the main hall.

Laurence

Laurence performs a diverse mix of well known songs for all ages from Motown to present day songs like “Blinding Lights” & “Bad Habits” via songs from the 1980’s like Aha’s “Take on me”.

A stonking set that'll get your foot twitching to the beat and maybe even singing along.

Del Boyo

Did you see Del Boyo playing live at the Party On The Rec this year? He is a well known local musician and has been lead singer of many rock-orientated cover bands. Del Boyo played a varied selection of songs so there was sure to be something for everyone

Psychic Squirrels

Did you see the Psychic Squirrels at the Party On The Rec this year? They played live with many big hits, it was a great atmosphere.

Good Times

Also live at the Party On The Rec this year was Good Times. It's safe to say they definitely caused a good time! They are a dynamic 4 piece Indie, Rock & Pop covers band. They played songs ranging from the '60s to now, something for everyone to enjoy. 

Black Dog Acoustic Duo

The final live performance at the Party On The Rec this year was the Black Dog Acoustic Duo. They played many classic covers with no backing tracks! It looked like everyone was having a great time and enjoying the music.
